We are a family of imperfect people relying on the one and only perfect God to give our lives peace and purpose.
We exist to love Him with all of our hearts, love all people (that includes you), and tell the world about Jesus. The best way to really understand who we are is to check out a service. Grace has two services each weekend, all that point to Jesus through current music, biblical teaching, and community.

Grace Church began in May of 1990. Two small churches in Reno decided, completely against the current trend, to merge into one functional, growing body of believers called Grace Community Church. About 180 people attended that first worship service at Lawlor Events Center. For the next five years, Grace Church set up and tore down each weekend at Lawlor, all while growing rapidly. Eventually, a plot of land was purchased on Robb Drive. Grace Church would finally have a permanent home.

Services were held for the first time in the new facility. There was just one problem. Already, the church had outgrown the building. Soon multiple services were offered each weekend. By 2000, the leaders of Grace Church were vigorously praying about how to deal with the facility demands of the rapidly growing church.
Grace expanded the size of the parking lot and the Worship Center. More classrooms and office space was also added. Following the expansion, the South Venue opened and offered an alternative for those wanting a different worship experience through video teaching. It also made room for those who couldn’t find seating in the main worship center.
Grace launched the NOW Project to raise capital to make room for more to hear about God. (click here for NOW.)In 2008, the parking lot was further expanded to prepare for the building of new worship facility just north of the existing parking lot. The NOW Project continued.
Grace helped plant Living Stones in Downtown Reno. In 2011, Grace Church merged with Tahoe Christian Center in Tahoe City to increase our reach for the sake of the gospel. That location is now known as Grace Church Tahoe.

Grace broke ground on a new worship center just north of the current facility. The worship center will almost triple the capacity for Grace to share the hope of Jesus with the Reno-Sparks area. Construction was completed in early November, and the first services were held November 17, 2013 in the new Worship Center.

Renovations began on the current facility, transforming it into Grace’s Family Center. A building devoted to Reno’s families. Here kids birth through high school will exalt God, move closer in relationship with him, and pursue community with each other.
Today, we continue in faith as God remains faithful in using His church to make Jesus known. We are passionate about exalting God, helping people move closer to Him, and pursuing people inside and outside our walls to love like Jesus throughout Northern Nevada and the world.
